I really enjoyed the online course. It gave me a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of textile fibres and broadened my knowledge. I feel more confident having conversations with customers in outdoor retail now if those situations arise.

This course was exceptional. As a complete layperson, I'd been worried that I might be out of my depth, but I thought the course was brilliantly paced and explained. The combination of seeing demos then having the chance to get hands-on worked well for me. Everyone involved in delivering the course was really friendly, knowledgeable and superb at checking understanding, encouraging and clearly answering questions. I now have a much better understanding of what it takes to accurately create bespoke patterns and some of the key fundamentals.

This pattern-cutting course has been fantastic! Both Debbie and Faye are super knowledgeable and walked us through how to create and adapt patterns, which will help me in my day-to-day conversations with suppliers when working to correct fit issues. The course was very hands-on, which kept us all engaged for the duration, but with plenty of time to ask questions and get a comprehensive answer. I had a great couple of days and look forward to implementing this knowledge in my day-to-day work.

A great course for anyone wishing to explore pattern drafting as a follow-on from the Fundamentals of Pattern Cutting course.

This course was well organised and provided a strong foundation in textile fundamentals. The professors were engaged, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the subject matter, making the content accessible and inspiring. The team was welcoming, approachable and attentive, ensuring each participant had everything they needed throughout the week. Overall, it was an excellent learning experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone new to the industry or experienced professionals seeking a comprehensive refresher on textile fundamentals.

The Introduction to Textile Technology course has been a fantastic entry point into the fundamentals of textile production. It has given me a much clearer understanding of core industry concepts, which has directly supported the work I do within the Back to Baselines subnetwork. Gaining this foundational knowledge will help me better interpret the information I am reporting on and manage projects with more confidence. The course has deepened my understanding of the textile industry and enabled me to perform my role more meaningfully.

This programme was hands-down one of the most helpful and insightful training sessions I’ve ever had for my role. Learning from the teachers in Leeds was incredibly motivating; their passion for what they do is truly inspiring!
